Make warmth from another continent: how Americans knit warm clothes for Ukrainians
At the beginning of January, the editors of Rubryka received a message from Ms. Lynn Dubai, who represents a group of knitters from North Carolina, USA. Women have long made knitting their hobby, but now they want to turn it into a socially responsible business.
"We think about you all the time. A group of knitters wants to send knitted hats, scarves, etc. to Ukraine. We are looking for an address where we can send them to Ukraine. Can you help us with this? What destination, organization, or group can you recommend that we send certain items to?" — Ms. Lynn wrote to the editors of Rubryka.
Mrs. Lynn Dubai came across the piece of "Rubryka," which talked about how Ukrainian women knit warm things and give them to soldiers at the front. The warmth of handmade things not only warms, but also supports the spirit of defenders, reminding them that they are waiting for them at home.
American women also decided to join the good cause. Soon the first batch of things tied by Americans will reach our editorial office and we will be able to hand them over to the soldiers. A parcel with 51 products is already on its way to Ukraine. If you also want to join the initiative, write to us at [email protected] and we will help you transfer your products.
