Ukraine launches Made by Defenders brand to support veteran entrepreneurs
The products of Ukrainian veteran entrepreneurs will be sold in the supermarket chain under the trademark "Made by Defenders."
The press service of Ukraine's Ministry of Veterans Affairs told Ukrinform.
What is the problem?
The Minister of Veteran Affairs of Ukraine, Yulia Laputina, said that veteran entrepreneurs produce many exciting and competitive products, but few people know about them.
What is the solution?
"Many veterans have already started their businesses, employ their comrades, and are mentors. Therefore, at the state level and in cooperation with Ukrainian trade networks, we decided to make our veteran entrepreneurs more recognizable as the producers of quality products and add to their capabilities," Laputina noted.
How does it work?
Veteran entrepreneurs are now able to present their products as craft producers. Under the trademark "Made by Defenders," their products will be sold on the Traditions Bench shelves for small producers in Silpo supermarket chain stores.
Currently, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs is working to ensure that as many veteran entrepreneurs as possible learn about this opportunity and join this project.
To get on store shelves, manufactured products must meet current state standards regarding quality, safety, proper production conditions, and the presence of specific certificates.
Their documentation and registration usually take a lot of time and require additional costs. The ministry notes that this discourages many representatives of small businesses from entering retail networks with their products. Still, specialists will provide veteran producers with all the necessary clarifications and training regarding the current legal framework and the actions for obtaining proper documents for their products.
To participate in the project, a veteran needs to fill out a form.
