First sample of Ukrainian 1000 km range combat drone tested in the sky
The Ukroboronprom State Concern, which manufactures weapons and military hardware, released the first sample of a drone with a range of one thousand kilometers and completed a series of its tests in the air.
Ukroboronprom spokeswoman Natalia Sad reported this at a briefing, Rubryka reports.
"Today, the project to develop an unmanned aerial vehicle with a range of more than a thousand kilometers and the possibility of a payload of up to 75 kilograms has reached such a stage that, unfortunately, we cannot talk about it now," Natalia Sad said.
The concern also reported that they had accelerated the production of the first sample as much as possible, "tested it in the air," and were preparing for the next stage – a demonstration of the capabilities of the kamikaze drone to the leadership of Ukraine's Defense Forces.
