UA animals rights activists place missile sculpture near Wall Street Bull to limelight russia's ecocide
Activists of the UAnimals animal rights organization placed a sculpture of a 4ussian missile next to the statue of a raging bull on Wall Street for one day.
Oleksandr Todorchuk, the founder of the UAnimals organization, reports this.
What is the problem?
According to Todorchuk, millions of animals have died due to russian aggression, 182,880 square meters of soil are contaminated with harmful substances, and eight nature reserves and 12 national nature parks are under occupation.
What is the solution?
To draw attention to russia's environmental crimes in Ukraine, activists placed a sculpture of a russian rocket near the statue of a bull on Wall Street.
How does it work?
"With this initiative, we rethink the meaning of the popular statue and show that an angry bull can turn out to be nothing more than a frightened animal running away from war," he wrote.
Todorchuk emphasized that during a full-scale invasion, russia is killing people and destroying the ecosystem.
UAnimals launched the international campaign #StopEcocideUkraine and created a petition to the UN and the EU with a call to condemn russia's actions and help stop environmental crimes, introduce additional sanctions against the russian federation and promote the restoration of Ukraine's ecological security and help restore the Ukrainian ecosystem during the war and in the post-war period, including using the reparations tool.
