As a result of massive russian shelling, the Ukrainian energy system was destroyed on a large scale.

Rubryka reports, referring to the Facebook page of DTEK of the Kyiv Electric Grid.

"Friends, due to the attacks, the energy system of Ukraine suffered unprecedented destruction. NEC Ukrenergo must balance the energy system to prevent large-scale and complex network accidents.

For this purpose, we introduce stabilization and emergency shutdowns," DTEK reports.

What DTEK advises:

  • minimize the amount and duration of use of electrical energy;
  • unplug all appliances;
  • turn on energy-consuming devices one at a time.

"Even with such simple actions, you will support the Ukrainian energy industry. We are all on an energy front! Let's hold on," DTEK emphasizes.

The President's Office reported that the restoration of some energy facilities might take up to two weeks.

As Rubryka reported, due to a large-scale enemy missile attack on the energy infrastructure, Ukrainians face more extended power outages.

On November 16, some Ukrainians were left without electricity for 13 hours and, in some regions, for a day. There were also problems with the operation of mobile communications.

On November 17, residents of the capital will not be able to follow the previous blackout schedules, as emergency power outages have been introduced in Kyiv.
