Ukraine's Air Defense shot down 10 Iranian kamikaze drones in a day

Over the past day, the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces shot down ten drones that were brought to russia from Iran.

Rubryka reports, referring to the Facebook of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As reported by the military command, Ukrainian air defense shot down 10 Shahed-136 attack drones, as well as Orlan UAV.

Also, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine made 21 strikes against the enemy. They affected:

  • areas of concentration of weapons and military equipment,
  • the position of the enemy's anti-aircraft defenses.

Units of missile forces and artillery of the Ukrainian army:

  • Five areas of concentration of troops, weapons, and military equipment,

  • Three other important enemy military facilities.

British intelligence reports that Ukrainian air defense forces are increasingly successfully shooting down Iranian-made Shahed kamikaze drones, which russia has begun to use to compensate for the lack of its missiles. This is stated in the review of the British Ministry of Defense on the war in Ukraine for October 24.

It is noted that russia continues to use Iranian UAVs on targets throughout Ukraine, and Ukraine is increasingly successfully fighting the Shahed-136. It is officially claimed that up to 85% of all launched kamikaze drones can be neutralized.

As reported, on October 20, the European Union expanded sanctions against Iran for supplying kamikaze drones to russia.

On November 2, the Swiss government announced introducing sanctions against Iran for supplying attack drones to the russian Federation, which is using them in the war against Ukraine.
