Ukrainian military seized rare enemy equipment unit

The Ukrainian military seized a rare example of enemy equipment — the "Tiger" command and staff vehicle, which is intended for the organization of communications.

The "South" operational command reports this on Facebook.

"Our soldiers, as a result of successful actions, captured a rare unit of enemy equipment – the R-145BMA command and staff vehicle (KSHM) based on the GAZ-233036 SPM-2 "Tiger." It is intended for the organization of communication between the commander and senior management and subordinate units both in the parking and during movement," the message reads.

KSHM R-145BMA was created by the limited liability company "Military Industrial Company" together with the "Signal" radio plant (Tambov). "Tiger" armor can protect the crew and equipment from fragments of artillery shells and most small arms bullets.

The body of this KShM is divided into two compartments: control and command. The driver and commander of the machine are located in the control compartment, and the responsible commander and signalman are located in the command room.

According to the developers, the KShM armored case provides ballistic protection for the crew, combat calculation, and machine equipment according to the 5th class of the russian state standard 50963-96 (3rd level according to the STANAG 4569 standard). In the side and stern windows of the machine, loopholes for firing from personal weapons have been preserved.

Certain control and communication complexes may be installed in the machine depending on the purpose.

"Tiger" is equipped with a retractable antenna-mast device, mounts for pin antennas, and various antenna devices to ensure the operation of communication facilities. The car also has a grounding device, switching, internal communication equipment, and satellite and inertial navigation systems.
