In 2021, concentration of greenhouse gas reached historical maximum

The concentration of greenhouse gases on Earth and the world ocean level reached their historical highs in 2021.

It is reported by France24 with reference to a US government report.

It is reported, in particular, that the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere in 2021 was 414.7 parts per million, 2.3 parts higher than in 2020.

The report also noted that global ocean levels on the planet are rising for the 10th year in a row, reaching a new record last year of 97 millimeters above the average global ocean level since 1993, when satellite measurements began.

In addition, last year was one of the six warmest on record since the mid-19th century.

"The data presented in this report is clear: We continue to see increasingly strong scientific evidence that climate change has a global impact, and there is no sign of it slowing," said Rick Spinrad, administrator of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
