Berlin's Potsdam Square Theater to hold ballet show in support of Ukrainian charity fund
On September 24, the ballet show Radio&Juliet & Quatro will be shown in Berlin's "Potsdam Square Theater" as part of the #supportUkraine initiative.
The main goal of the show is to support Ukraine. All proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Tabletochki charity fund. Currently, it supports all those affected by the war in Ukraine. In particular, it helps families with evacuation, doctors with equipping hospitals and renting outpatient apartments, provides psychological assistance, and much more.
"The war changed our plans, but not our main goal — to help," the foundation states.
The Radio & Juliet ballet is a symbiosis of minimalist and sometimes bravura choreography by Edward Kluge and emotional music by Radiohead. The sensual album O.K. Computer and the incomparable plasticity of world-famous Ukrainian dancers force the viewer to look at Shakespeare's story about two lovers from a different angle. Unsurprisingly, this production, created in 2005, was a massive success in Europe, the USA, and Asia.
Ballet Quatro is Edward Kluge's choreography and Milko Lazar's penetrating music. Thanks to their synergy, a new creative symbiosis is formed during the performance — cello, piano, and dance. Nothing extra.
Recently, Ukrainian ballet dancers and their children left their homes and everything valuable to them. On September 24, they will dance to help their compatriots who are in a difficult situation because of the war. The artists tell with horror how their relatives and friends from Ukraine are hiding from shelling in basements without electricity, gas, and water and evacuating with babies without basic necessities.
