Vitaliy Gura, one of the "leaders" of the occupied town of Nova Kakhovka in southern Ukraine, appointed by Russian invasion forces, has not survived an assassination attempt.

That's according to a Kherson Regional Council Deputy Serhii Khlan, who broke the news on Facebook.

"One of the Russian 'Gauleiters' of Nova Kakhovka, Vitaly Gura, has been shot dead. An attempt was made on him, but he was still alive for some time. He was being evacuated to Crimea, but, as per preliminary reports, he never made it there. He died. That's the fate of all traitors," said the deputy.

As reported, Kherson-based Russia collaborator Volodymyr Saldo was taken to Moscow for treatment. According to media reports, he remains in a medically induced coma.
