Men of unrecognized Transnistria offered to enlist in russian army

Residents of unrecognized Transnistria are urged to sign a contract with a local unit of the russian army

RISE Moldova reports.

As noted, they do it without the consent of the Moldovan authorities.

The publication emphasizes that people for the service are being sought through distributing paper ads and sending personal messages on Telegram.

In particular, a RISE journalist called a russian recruiter and introduced himself as a native of the city of Bielce.

It is located on the territory controlled by Chisinau.

In response, the recruiter stated it is not a problem for russians if a person has no previous experience.

However, signing the contract still requires russian citizenship, the absence of criminal records, at least secondary special education, and age from 19 to 40 years.

The russian army promises to pay 9,000 Transnistrian rubles (30,000 hryvnias) and provide official housing.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova noted that the deployment of russian troops in "Transnistria" was taking place without Chisinau's consent.

This, in turn, violates the principle of international law.

"The recruitment of residents to military structures illegally stationed in the Transnistrian region undermines the sovereignty and territorial integrity and contradicts the neutrality status of the Republic of Moldova," the department emphasized.

We will remind you that it is not the first evidence of the recruitment of people into the russian army on the territory of the self-proclaimed "Transnistria."

In June, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine's Ministry of Defense also reported that in this territory, they were agitating men to enter military service under a contract in the ranks of the Soviet Union.

Also, the Tiraspol Military Commissariat has started recruiting for military service those citizens who graduated from the military department of the university and were enrolled in the reserve with the rank of officer.
