Ukrainian culture minister announced charitable concerts in another three European cities
Charitable concerts will be held in three more European capitals. The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy plans to raise additional funds for Ukrainian charity accounts.
The Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko has informed about it, Ukrinform reports.
According to him, MCIP tries to organize charitable concerts. Earlier, three actions took place in different European cities, including Warsaw and Berlin.
"50 million hryvnias and 12 million euros were raised for the charitable account in the National Bank. We hope to continue this tradition in the nearest future. At least we are preparing concerts in three European capitals that will be available to local viewers. We will be able to raise additional funds in Ukraine's charitable accounts there. Similarly, we have created more than 20 projects on MCIP's United platform for Ukraine to fight on the information front. These include different projects in the cultural realm and some specific actions, etc., " Tkachenko said.
The minister also noted that the Ministry's Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security is actively working daily to refute fakes and disinformation distributed by russians.
According to the official, the Center has become a credible source respected by many journalists and political figures.
"Also, a lot of work has been done with many European ministers in 2 months…I will say right away that it wasn't easy, even though the need to impose sanctions on several russian TV channels which continued broadcasting on the Eutelsat satellite platform was obvious. Yes, they banned Russia Today satellites, but we persuaded them to impose sanctions on RTR-Planeta, RTR 24, and TC Center channels, " he informs.
Tkachenko noted that the work does not stop here, and there are still several channels on which the MKIP will try to impose sanctions as a next step.
