In Mariupol, the russian occupiers are bombing and shelling the territory of the Azovstal plant, where civilians are staying, as well as shooting in another part of the city.
The adviser to the mayor of Mariupol Petro Andriushchenko reported about it.
"Mariupol as of now. The Azovstal area is being bombed and shelled right now. At the same time, fighting is taking place in the area of the tram depot, which is at a considerable distance from the Azovstal territory," he said.
According to Andriushchenko, the russians planned to destroy all those hiding in Azovstal.
According to him, people can be saved only if foreign partners intervene and provide security guarantees for evacuation.

On April 21, russian authorities showed a video in which russian Defense Minister sergei shoigu allegedly sat with russian president vladimir putin to report on the successful capture of Mariupol.
putin advised not to storm Azovstal but to lay siege to defenders and civilians.
Zelenskyy responded that the russian occupiers controlled much of the city, but did not take full control of the city.
On April 20, Ukraine managed to evacuate some people in 4 evacuation buses from Mariupol.
The British Ministry of Defense has warned that the russian military will try to achieve any victory on Victory Day on May 9. Their plans may include encircling and destroying defenders of Mariupol and civilians hiding in the last entire bunkers.
