Houses, land plots and cars: Court arrests 154 objects of Medvedchuk family's property
The Lychakivskyi District Court of Lviv City arrested 154 objects of movable and immovable property of Viktor Medvedchuk, an MP from the parliamentary faction Opposition Platform – For Life, and his wife Oksana Marchenko.
This was reported by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation.
"On April 13, the Lychakivskyi District Court of Lviv City, at the request of the State Bureau of Investigation, arrested 154 objects of more movable and immovable property of Ukraine's MP Viktor Medvedchuk and his wife Oksana Marchenko," the state bureau said.
In particular, the court arrested 26 cars, 30 land plots, 23 houses, 32 apartments, 17 parking places and a yacht.
Shares in the authorized capital of 25 companies, the beneficial owner of which is Viktor Medvedchuk or his wife, were also seized.
The state bureau reminded that earlier investigators and prosecutors stated that Medvedchuk's yacht and other real estate were seized.
As reported, it became known on February 27 that Viktor Medvedchuk, suspected of treason, escaped from house arrest.
The court put Medvedchuk on house arrest within two criminal cases – over producing oil and gas in the Black Sea and aiding and abetting the activities of a terrorist organization through the coal supply from the temporarily occupied territories of Donbas.
On April 12, he was detained as a result of a special operation conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine.
President Volodymyr Zelensky offered to exchange Medvedchuk for Ukrainian prisoners of war in Russia.
