State Bureau of Investigations: Ukrainian border guards prevented the russians from withdrawing ten ships from Ukraine
Ukrainian border guards did not allow russian businessmen to export ten ships worth over a billion hryvnias from Ukraine
Rubryka reports, citing the press center of the State Bureau of Investigations.
According to the agency, now they must be nationalized.
"Investigators of the State Border Guard Service, with the assistance of the State Border Guard Service, prevented the removal of 8 russian cargo ships and 2 tankers from Ukraine, which were in the waters of the port of Odesa for preventive repairs.
The ships were involved in logistics operations in russia in the Black Sea and the Danube.
The owners tried to illegally withdraw the ships from Ukraine, changing the flag of the country of registration.
To minimize mandatory payments to the state budget of Ukraine, the vessels were estimated at UAH 160 million. According to preliminary estimates, this amount is underestimated at least 5 times," the press service explained.
The agency stressed that on April 11, SBI employees handed over the vessel to the Seaports Administration of Ukraine and submitted the relevant materials to the Odesa Regional Military Administration with the initiative of their nationalization.
