Izium is a Ukrainian city - Head of Kharkiv Regional Administration
The Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Sinehubov, denied Russian fakes about the alleged capture of Izium by the occupiers.
"They have no choice but to lie about the alleged 'victory.' Because it's shameful to talk about such nefarious defeats as under Izium even from propaganda screens," Sinehubov wrote in the Telegram.
He assured that the Armed Forces hold positions in this direction. "Izium is a Ukrainian city! It was and will be. Our Armed Forces of Ukraine hold their positions in this direction. The Ukrainian army immediately attacks those who are at least trying to get closer to the city," Sinehubov wrote.
According to him, even the concentration of Russian troops near Izium doesn't help them move forward.
"Our troops are defending the city, both on the ground and in the air. Now fierce fighting continues," wrote Sinehubov.
He called for trust in official information, not Russian propaganda.
"I urge you not to believe the false propaganda of the Russians, but to trust the official information and the Armed Forces of Ukraine!" wrote Sinehubov.
