Despite threats from occupiers, citizens in Melitopol again came out in support of the abducted mayor
In Melitopol in the city center, citizens gathered on rallies in support of the mayor kidnapped by the Russian military, Ivan Fedorov
The protest rally was announced on social media on Sunday the day before, Rubryka reports.
About a thousand citizens took part in the action, one of the local Internet resources wrote in its Telegram channel.
They chant: "Melitopol is Ukraine!" and "Where is our mayor?!"
It is also reported that Russian military equipment was being gathered at the scene.
As Rubryka reported earlier, two cases of abduction of mayors by Russians are known in the Zaporizhzhia region.
On March 13, they captured the mayor of Dniprorudne, Yevhen Matveev.
