Russian planes fired at Belarusian settlement to involve the army of Belarus in the war against Ukraine - Air forces
The Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Russian aircraft struck at the settlement of Kopani in Belarus.
This is stated in the message of the Air Force Command on Facebook.
According to the State Border Guard Service, as of 2:30 p.m., Russian planes took off from the Dubrovytsia airfield in Belarus, entered the territory of Ukraine, and turned over the Ukrainian border guards in the Ukrainian settlements of Horodychi and Tumen, after which they inflicted fire damage on Kopani in Belarus.
"Currently, the ninth border detachment is watching the occupation of this settlement! This is a provocation! The goal is to involve the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus in the war with Ukraine!" warned the Air Force.
Earlier, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov addressed the Belarusians and warned that the command of the Russian occupation forces is preparing a series of provocations, attacks on several settlements in Belarus, located near the Ukrainian-Belarusian border.
"In order to mask the crime, Russia intends to carry out an attack from the airspace of Ukraine. The purpose of the provocation is to force the current leadership of Belarus to go to war against Ukraine. Moscow is trying to bind you with blood," Reznikov said.
The Minister stressed that the Ukrainian army has not planned and will not plan any aggressive actions against Belarus.
