International Monetary Fund provideі Ukraine with $1.4 billion
The International Monetary Fund has already transferred $1.4 billion in emergency support to Ukraine under the Rapid Financing Instrument
This was announced by the chairperson of the National Bank Kyrylo Shevchenko, Rubryka reports.
According to the head of the NBU, "Funds under this program will help finance the priority expenditures of the state budget and maintain Ukraine's balance of payments."
He also stressed that the final decision on the use of funds by Ukraine will be made by the Ministry of Finance as Ukraine's financial agent in relations with the Fund.
To recap, the Ukrainian authorities stopped cooperating with the International Monetary Fund under the Stand-by program, the second revision of which began the day before the war.
The Board of Directors of the International Monetary Fund has supported the allocation of $1.4 billion in emergency financing for Ukraine.
