Polish Parliament unanimously supported Ukraine's accession to the EU

Senators of the upper house of the Polish parliament officially supported Ukraine's application for membership in the European Union

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine announced it, Rubryka reports.

"The Senate of the Republic of Poland unanimously adopted a resolution on Ukraine's European aspirations," the parliament said in a statement.

The Polish Senate condemned the actions of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine, calling them "atrocities" and "barbarism."

The senators stressed that Ukraine was defending its right to sovereignty and independence for the second time in 10 years.

That is why it deserves to become a member of the European Union.

Poland also called on other EU member states to adopt a resolution and support Ukraine's European aspirations.

To recap, Zelenskyy signed Ukraine's application for EU membership.

The EU promises to consider Ukraine's application for accession "in the coming days."
