The evacuation of civilians from the city of Sumy will continue on March 9, and the humanitarian corridor will run from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

According to Rubryka, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko wrote about this in Telegram.

"The evacuation from Sumy will continue today, March 9. The humanitarian corridor will be open from 9:00 to 21:00. Buses will be involved in the evacuation, and private cars can also be moved in the convoy," Tymoshenko said.

He urged drivers to take the maximum number of people from there.

Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, said that 5,000 Ukrainians and 1,700 foreign students had been evacuated from Sumy on March 8. But so far, there are cities where the enemy does not allow the population to be taken to a safer place, offering them only access to Russia or Belarus, and not in Ukraine.
