At least 3 assassination attempts were made on Zelenskyy in a week - The Times
At least three assassination attempts have been made on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy over the past week.
This was reported by The Times.
According to journalists, two different groups were sent to assassinate the Ukrainian leader: mercenaries from Wagner's pro-Kremlin group and Chechen special forces. Each time the assassinations were thwarted by Russian FSB officers who oppose the war with Ukraine, the newspaper writes.
Wagner's mercenaries in Kyiv suffered losses during their attempts and were concerned about how accurately Ukrainians foresaw their actions.
A source close to the group said Zelenskyy's awareness of the security service was "scary" for them.
Also on Saturday, an assassination attempt by a group of Chechen mercenaries was prevented on the outskirts of Kyiv.
