Macron held talks with Zelenskyy and Putin
The President of France Emmanuel Macron had separate telephone conversations with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

According to the source, the conversation with Putin lasted one hour and 30 minutes. Macron asked Putin to stop striking civilians and secure major roads in Ukraine.
According to the French president's office, the Russian president "confirmed his readiness to do so."
Macron said he insisted on "the need for an immediate ceasefire."
President Macron has also spoken to Volodymyr Zelensky several times in recent hours, the French president said.
