The actions of the Russian Federation may be qualified as genocide and should lead to an international tribunal, - said Zelensky

Russia's actions against Ukraine could be qualified as genocide, so Russia must be deprived of the right to vote in the UN Security Council.

The claim comes from a statement of the President of Ukraine, writes Rubryka.

According to the President, everything that the occupiers are doing in Kharkiv, Okhtyrka, Kyiv, Odesa, and other cities and towns is going should lead to an international tribunal. All their crimes are recorded.

"We have to name things for what they are. Russia's criminal actions against Ukraine show signs of genocide. I spoke with the UN Secretary-General. Russia is on the path of evil, the world must come to deprive Russia of the right to vote in the UN Security Council," Zelensky said.

The head of state called Russia's actions against Ukraine "terror".

"This is revenge. The people have risen to defend their state, and Russia revealed their true face. This is terror. They are going to bomb our Ukrainian cities even more, they are going to kill our children even more insidiously. This is evil has come to our land and must be destroyed", said the president.

He reminded that Russia had lied that it would not harm the civilian population.

"But from the first hours of the invasion, Russian troops have been hitting civilian infrastructure. They have deliberately chosen tactics to target people and everything that makes life just normal. Power plants, hospitals, kindergartens, houses – all under attack every day," Zelensky recalled.
