Kuleba: Russia deterrence package includes three elements
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba stated that a broad global coalition of partners embodies all three levels of the comprehensive package of Russia's deterrence proposed by Ukraine in November.
The press service of the Foreign Ministry reported this.
According to the Minister, diplomacy continues to work and reduce the risks of military escalation.
"Diplomacy works and restrains Russia's aggressive intentions. When I was in the European Union in November, I told my partners that we now need a comprehensive package of Russian deterrence. We offered three elements: active diplomacy, tough sanctions, and military assistance to Ukraine. We have solved all three key tasks in a few months," the Foreign Minister stressed.
Kuleba noted that active diplomacy was already in place these days and weeks and had turned Kyiv into a center of international politics.
The minister also announced the completion of sanctions by the United States and European allies. Kuleba also stressed that military assistance to Ukraine was currently being actively implemented.
"This is not the reaction Putin expected, and it all works as a powerful deterrent," he added.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba stated that in recent weeks and months Ukraine had received more than 1,000 tons of military equipment and defense weapons from its partners.
A number of countries have begun to actively assist the Armed Forces amid the growing threat of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The accumulation of Russian troops on the borders of Ukraine, endless military exercises that threaten our security, reached their apogee in January.
