Ukraine moves up in world's most powerful armies ranking: Global Firepower study
International company Fire Firepower, which each year ranks the best armies in the world, put Ukraine in 22nd place this year
This is stated on the company's website, Rubryka reports.
In the study, Global Firepower used more than 50 individual factors to measure a country's PowerIndex by categories ranging from military power and finance to logistics and geography.
This rating allows less technologically advanced countries to compete with more developed ones, and special modifiers in the form of bonuses and penalties are used to further improve the annual list.
Colored arrows indicate a comparison of trends for the year (Growth, Stable, Decrease).
Thus, Ukraine has moved up three positions in the last year.
In 2022, the PowerIndex of Ukraine is 0.3266. The score of 0.0000 is considered "ideal."
Ukraine's place in the ranking is between Taiwan and Canada, whose Strength Index is 0.3215 and 0.3601, respectively.
It is noted that the United States traditionally remains in the first place.
The top ten also include Russia, China, India, Japan, South Korea, France, the United Kingdom, Pakistan, and Brazil.
A total of 140 countries are estimated in this year's ranking.
In 2021, Global Firepower ranked Ukraine 25th (between Vietnam and Thailand).
