What is the problem?
A new virus variant has already appeared in Ukraine.
The entire world is panicking over a new variant of coronavirus called Omicron. The first data on it, published by the WHO, shows that Omicron causes "reduced effectiveness of the vaccine against infection and transmission." Simply put, this means that the new strain can infect even those who already have a natural immunity to the coronavirus.
In addition, it is already known that Omicron is spreading faster; this has already been confirmed in South Africa and the United Kingdom, and Omicron has already been found in Ukraine. Doctors point out that the virus, which mutated again, is even more contagious than its predecessor, the Delta variant.
The first infected person in Ukraine was a patient of the Oberih clinic, who recently returned from the UAE. Thanks to the collected epidemiological history, doctors were able to conclude the origin of the coronavirus strain. It is also known that the patient had already had coronavirus a few months before.
