Ukrainian teachers' salaries to increase by 8.4% from December
From December 1, 2021, the salaries of Ukrainian teachers will increase by 8.4%. In particular, teachers' salaries will increase by 753-1.3 thousand hryvnias.
This is the second salary increase for school staff in 2021, according to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
From January 1, 2021, salaries have increased by 20%.
The salary of a teacher-organizer in the first category will increase by 872 hryvnias, and the administrator of an educational institution, by 1.3 thousand. A teacher of the highest category will receive 1,061 hryvnias more. And a teacher without work experience will receive 753 hryvnias more.
From December 1, teachers' salaries will change as follows:
for the administrator of a general secondary education institution, the amount will change from UAH 15,742 to UAH 17,057;
- for a young teacher without category and work experience: from UAH 9,015 to UAH 9,768;
- category II teachers: from UAH 11,124 to UAH 12,053;
- teachers of the I category: from UAH 11,912 to UAH 12,906;
- teachers of the highest category: from UAH 12,698 to UAH 13,759;
- teacher's assistant: from UAH 10,338 to UAH 11,200;
- the head of the club: from UAH 11,124 to UAH 12,053;
- teacher-organizer of the I category: from UAH 10,445 to UAH 11,317.
The increase in teachers' salaries is provided for in the state budget for next year.
In 2021, expenditures from the state budget on education amounted to 139.5 billion hryvnias, which is 26.6 billion hryvnias more than in 2020.
The Minister of Education and Science Serhii Shkarlet said that in 2022 186 billion hryvnias would be allocated from the state budget for education, of which 108 billion hryvnias will be allocated for salaries for educators and scholarships for students.
