Fraud in labor migration market: causes and consequences
Labor migration is a fast and therefore quite popular way to earn a significant amount of money. But this easy access to earnings has another side, fraud, which, unfortunately, is quite common in the labor migration market. And it starts with offers of illegal employment abroad and sometimes ends with real labor slavery. And although today in most EU countries all conditions are created for the official employment of foreigners, many Ukrainians fall into the hands of fraudsters every year. So why do people still agree to dubious proposals?
The problem continues to spread
With the signing of the visa-free agreement with the European Union, the conditions for Ukrainian citizens to go abroad to work have been significantly simplified, which, in turn, has allowed many Ukrainians to consider such an option. And, as you know, demand gives rise to supply, not all of which is safe.
Given the higher level of wages in the EU, more and more Ukrainians today are considering working abroad. However, not everyone understands the nuances of such employment, exposing themselves to the danger of falling into the hands of fraudsters.
