"We're looking for solutions for Donbas and Crimea at all platforms": Zelenskyy arrived in the United States to participate in UN General Assembly
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived on a working visit to the United States to attend the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The Dom TV channel and Telegram of the President's Office announced this, Rubryka reports.
During the visit, the President stated that the UN General Assembly was one of the main platforms where Ukraine could resolve issues concerning Donbas and Crimea.
"And we must not only speak but also demand appropriate action. We're looking for solutions for Donbas and Crimea on all platforms. Yes, the UN is one of the primary platforms. And we must not miss this opportunity."
"For example, we'll have a meeting with the President of the Republic of Turkey. And we all know Turkey's statement about non-recognition of the annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation and non-recognition of elections to the State Duma due to the involvement of residents of occupied Ukrainian territories."
"It's very important for us that the UN recognizes the Crimean Platform. I think we can talk about the support of Ukraine by our partners in this very difficult time."
Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine should make the most of this visit for bilateral meetings with various countries. He added that meetings with leaders of different countries were expected on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
As reported by the Office of the President, Zelenskyy will speak at the general debate of the UN General Assembly. Meetings of the President of Ukraine with leaders of other states and representatives of international organizations are also planned.
In addition, the President of Ukraine will meet with business representatives and investors, as well as with the Ukrainian community in the United States.
