"To Museum On a Bicycle" initiative will be held in Poltava
To promote a healthy lifestyle, on September 17, the "To Museum On a Bicycle" will be held in Poltava.
The press service of the Poltava city council announced it, Rubryka reports.
"To promote a healthy lifestyle, promote meaningful leisure within the European Mobility Week on September 17, 2021, Poltava will have an action, 'To Museum On a Bicycle.' The action extends to the cycling community and will operate among municipal museums in the city."
Cyclists will be able to visit:
- Poltava Battlefield State Historical and Cultural Reserve,
- Art Museum (art gallery) named after Mykola Yaroshenko,
- Ivan Kotliarevskyi Literary Memorial Museum and its branch museum-manor of Kotliarevskyi,
- Literary-memorial museum of Volodymyr Korolenko,
- Panas Myrnyi Literary Memorial Museum.
On this day, visitors on bicycles will have free admission.

European Mobility Week (EMW) is a pan-European initiative aimed at improving the environment and living conditions in communities. The event encourages local authorities in European countries to introduce and support sustainable transport development and to encourage residents to try alternative modes of transport.
Every year EMW takes place at the end of September.
