Over the past 6 years, Ukrainians bought almost 30,000 electric cars
Over the past six years, Ukrainians have bought 27,732 electric cars, most of which were imported from abroad.
Such data is provided by Opendatabot, the platform for work with open data, Rubryka reports.
According to the platform's analysis, the increase in the number of purchases of electric cars was facilitated by customs benefits: the excise tax for customs clearance of cars with electric motors is 1 euro per kilowatt/hour, and the Pension Fund fee is from 3% to 5% of the customs value of cars.
Instead, customs clearance of a regular car worth about $8,000 will cost the owner $3,500.
In Ukraine, the cost of used electric cars starts from 10 thousand dollars, of new ones, starts from 14.5 thousand, and the average price is 15-20 thousand.
