Ukraine and China sign an agreement on cooperation in infrastructure construction
Ukraine and China have signed an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the fields of infrastructure construction and joint projects implementation.
The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers announced this, Rubryka reports.
The agreement was signed on June 30 by the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov and the Minister of Commerce of the People's Republic of China Wang Wentao. It provides for expanding cooperation to implement joint projects in infrastructure construction.
Priorities include rail transit, airports, ports, communications, and municipal engineering. According to the agreement, the parties encourage companies from both countries to cooperate in infrastructure, promote establishing closer economic ties and provide the necessary assistance and support in implementing joint projects.
The agreement provides for attracting funds on preferential terms from the Chinese government, necessary for the implementation of infrastructure projects. As a result of joint consultations, the parties will approve potential cooperation projects to be supported by Chinese funds.
