Cabinet extends quarantine in Ukraine until Aug 31
The Cabinet of Ministers has extended the quarantine in Ukraine until August 31, 2021, according to the Ministry of Health.
"The government has extended the quarantine in Ukraine until August 31, 2021, while a "green" level of epidemic danger is established throughout the country. In such conditions, a mask regime is maintained in public transport and during public events or visiting premises. Accordingly, the work of catering and entertainment establishments (nightclubs), cinemas and halls of other culture sectors, as well as other public events, is allowed subject to the mask regime," the report reads.
As of June 16, Ukraine recorded 1,045 new coronavirus cases over the past day, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 2,226,037. Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 51,847 deaths and 2,140,978 recoveries have been recorded.
Over the past day, June 15, 62,591 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in Ukraine. In particular, 35,462 people got their first jab, and 27,129 people were fully vaccinated.
Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, which started on February 24, 1,543,265 people have been vaccinated, of which 287,884 people have received two doses.
