The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, proposed to create a new format of negotiations to resolve the situation in the country.
He stated this in an interview with the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
According to him, this format could be combined with the Normandy one.
As Zelenskyi explained, the new format would discuss not only the settlement of the situation in Donbas but also the return of the occupied Crimea and the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline.
"In that respect (in the Normandy format – ed.), there's no talk about Crimea, or the pipeline, or security guarantees. The Normandy format and its themes, in this case, would be part of this design," he said.
