Liashko reports about his first working day in his new position
On the first working day as Minister of Health, Viktor Liashko met with former US Congressman Jim Slattery and his colleagues.
On his Facebook page, he said that the conversation was about providing Ukrainians with vaccines.
"We discussed the joint fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccination in Ukraine. Vaccination of Ukrainians is a priority for me today. I've received assurances that the leading American company will help deliver vaccines to Ukraine," he said.
During the conversation, Liashko stressed that obtaining a vaccine against coronavirus until August 2021 was under his personal control and was a priority.
"Thank you to our American partners for the consistent support of Ukraine by the United States, as well as other strategic partners, because the pandemic can be defeated only by uniting," the minister concluded.
