A bill providing for a partnership with Ukraine submitted to US Congress
The US House of Representatives has introduced a bipartisan bill that provides for partnership with European countries, including Ukraine.
The Embassy of Ukraine in the United States informed about this on Facebook, Rubryka reports.
"The Transatlantic Telecommunications Security Act provides for a coalition of US democratic allies and partners in Central and Eastern Europe to address global challenges, including from Russia and China in the telecommunications sector," the statement said.
The legislative initiative envisages, among other things, assistance to Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, and the countries of the Western Balkans in strengthening telecommunications infrastructure and cross-border communication networks.
The bill was introduced by Marcy Kaptur, co-chair of the Ukrainian Congressional Caucus, and Adam Kinzinger, a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee. The co-authors are 22 congressmen.
