Why the installation of devices didn't go without scandal and what important aspects you need to know to use a defibrillator. Spoiler: the defibrillator will cue you in.
On March 22, a man was rescued from a heart attack in the Kyiv metro station "Palats Sportu." The 56-year-old man was saved from the other side thanks to the competent actions of Oleksandr Rashevskyi, an employee of the Police Department in the metro, and with the help of a defibrillator installed on the platform.
Resuscitation devices appeared in the metro recently; the initiators of installing them in the metropolitan were participants of the ReaniMetro project, which became the winner of the 2019 Public Budget. The project collected about 8,000 votes from Kyiv residents and received over 3.6 million hryvnias for implementation. The project's primary goal was to install "machines to save lives" on the platforms of 19 metro stations. But everything isn't so simple.
