"I came here to help a person who'll change everything," Yermak talked about a year of working as OP Head
The Head of the Office of the President, Andrii Yermak, wrote a post about a year of working as the Head of the OPU and about Volodymyr Zelenskyi's effort. "Our president is a motivator who's constantly charged and charges us for daily work."
He wrote about this on Facebook.
"Exactly a year ago, I started working as the head of the President's Office. Today the work continues. I'm celebrating my anniversary in Donbas; we came here with the Head of State, our team, and international partners.
At the beginning of his term, the President instructed me to work on resolving the most painful issue for every Ukrainian: on establishing peace in Donbas. And I'm grateful for that opportunity. It's a hard but very important task. Our common goal is peace, returning people and our legitimate territories.
With Volodymyr Zelenskyi arriving, Ukraine's policy was restructured according to new principles. Now the people's interests have become the foundation of the state and its leadership. Our president is a motivator who's constantly charged and charges us for daily work. He shows by his own example what it means to work tirelessly 24/7. When I'm asked about plans or motivation, I always answer that I came here to help a person who'll change everything and remain a human being.
This year we've come a long way together. We saw what true partnership and support means. Today, the ambassadors of Germany, France, Canada, Great Britain, Sweden, and the US Chargé d'affaires in Ukraine came to Donbas to see for themselves that Ukraine is fulfilling all the commitments made in the negotiation process. Our state doesn't deviate one step from the European democratic course," the Head of the OP wrote.
Andrii Yermak added: "We were able to conduct a large-scale exchange of detainees, reformat the TCG, increase the status of members of the Ukrainian delegation and focus on security issues during the talks of Normandy leaders' advisers. We strengthened the international coalition, began working on the Crimean platform, thus bringing the issue of Crimea back to the world agenda.
During my year in office, I was once again convinced that Ukraine is a country where everything just begins. Right now, every Ukrainian is in the perfect place at the perfect time. You don't need to go to other countries to get the desired development. All opportunities are in our state. It was a year of tough decisions, non-stop work in the president's team. Difficult but interesting times.
Thanks to everyone who supports me. Thank you to everyone who criticizes and helps to always be in good spirits. We work for Ukraine!" Yermak summed up.
Рівно рік тому я почав працювати керівником Офісу Президента. Сьогодні робота триває. Свою річницю зустрічаю на Донбасі…
