Razumkov calls on deputies to help children on St. Nicholas "within limits of their possibilities"
On the eve of St. Nicholas Day, Dmytro Razumkov, Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada, called on parliamentarians to help children in need.
The speaker said this at a meeting of the coordination board.
"We'll soon meet St. Nicholas Day. I know that some people's deputies help specific children, some help hospitals, some help other institutions. Let's remember that the holiday should come to everyone. Everyone is within their capabilities to help. Everyone is within the limits to help. I'm not talking about finances now; I'm talking about the desire to help and bring a holiday to children, especially to those children who are having a hard time today," Razumkov stated.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada also spoke about the initiative of some people's deputies to help the children's oncology department of the Kyiv City Clinical Oncology Center and organize a holiday there.
St. Nicholas Day is celebrated by Christians of the Eastern rite on December 19.
