Ukraine looks forward to continued US support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President, Ihor Zhovkva stated this on the air of the Radio NV program, the President's Office reports.

"The signals coming from then-presidential candidate Joseph Biden, and which continue coming now, inspire optimism. The United States is ready to continue playing an important role in ensuring Ukraine's national security, ending the aggression in Donbas and providing aid, including financial, to build a system of our national security," Zhovkva said.

The Deputy Head of the President's Office also expressed confidence that the United States and other NATO member states would disclose the mechanism of the Enhanced Opportunities Partner Program to Ukraine.

"And we'll do our homework, fulfill the criteria necessary for Ukraine's membership in NATO: reforming our system of the Armed Forces, and national security. We are confident that the US will give us support in this process," Zhovkva said.

He also noted that regarding the fight against corruption, the views of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, and potential future US President Joseph Biden "are exactly the same."

In addition, according to Zhovkva, the economic component is an important part of bilateral relations between Ukraine and the United States. He recalled that the relevant steps in this field took place despite the election process in the United States. In particular, Ukraine recently signed an agreement with Westinghouse to convert another Ukrainian nuclear reactor, WWER-440, this time, to US nuclear fuel. Last week, the Ukrainian President had a video meeting with the President of Microsoft, Brad Smith.

"A lot of American companies may be interested in the Ukrainian market. And they will be interested. And we'll move along this track as well," Zhovkva said.

Meanwhile, he stated that Ukraine counts on the support of American partners to complete judicial reform as soon as possible.

At the same time, the Deputy Head of the President's Office informed that they're currently preparing the full-fledged visit of Volodymyr Zelenskyi to the USA, i.e. the trip's agenda.

"The economy should also be a priority, along with politics, along with security issues. Therefore, such a visit is definitely being prepared," Zhovkva said.
