Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov believes that they have created all the conditions for 4G to appear in the most remote corners of Ukraine. Plans for a 5G connection are currently underway.

He stated this, live, on "Morning with Ukraine", the press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation reports.

"Residents of large Ukrainian cities have long had access to high-speed Internet. On the other hand, small towns don't have such an opportunity, mostly. Unfortunately, no one has solved this problem before. The Ministry of Digital Transformation has worked on solving the issue. We're developing both mobile and fixed high-speed Internet. Next year we will focus on covering international and national roads," the Minister said.

In addition, he noted that since the launch, over 4.7 million Ukrainians had used 4G, with 1.5 million of them gaining access to the high-speed mobile Internet for the first time.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation intends to provide 95% of Ukrainians with access to high-speed Internet in 3 years and cover 95% of all roads of national importance with high-speed mobile Internet in 4 years.

It was announced that 2,000 schools will be involved in social projects next year.

Fedorov also stressed that according to many scientific studies, 5G is not harmful to human health, and they plan to implement it in 2022.

Yesterday, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a plan to introduce 5G communication in Ukraine.
