Ukraine's Defense Forces liberate three villages on Lyman front in latest results of Vivaldi operation

New results of Operation "Vivaldi": Defense Forces liberate three villages on Lyman front
During the fourth phase of Operation Vivaldi, Ukraine's Defense Forces restored control over Zelena Dolyna, Lypove, and Kolodiasi on the Lyman front. Across all four phases of the operation, Ukrainian units liberated 277 square kilometers of territory and regained control of 16 settlements.
The 3rd Army Corps reported the results of the operation, citing an address by its commander, Brigadier General Andrii Biletskyi, and the analytical project DeepState.
According to Biletskyi, Ukrainian forces initially focused on liquidating Russian units that infiltrated Defense Forces positions. However, the operation subsequently developed into a large-scale offensive. The commander noted that Russian units began to lose command and control, which, he said, led to "real chaos."
"The 3rd Army Corps and attached units liberated three more settlements—Zelena Dolyna, Lypove, and Kolodiasi," the Brigadier General reported in his address.
During the fourth stage of Vivaldi, the enemy lost approximately 3,000 soldiers, while Ukraine reclaimed 101 square kilometers of territory.
Biletskyi explained that Ukrainian defenders successfully disrupted the enemy's plans to advance in the Donbas.
"We prevented the enemy from bypassing the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration from the flanks and trapping it in a pincer movement, and we also secured the Kharkiv–Sloviansk highway. The enemy failed to cut the key logistical artery for our grouping in Donbas. We disrupted the offensive of the 'Zapad' enemy grouping and forced it to redeploy part of the 1st Tank Army units, reducing pressure on Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi," he said.
According to the 3rd Army Corps, total enemy personnel losses over the entire duration of the operation reached 8,000 soldiers.
DeepState also confirmed the return of Zelena Dolyna, Lypove, and Kolodiasi under Ukrainian control. In addition to these settlements, analysts recorded the restoration of Defense Forces control over territories near Stavky and Shandryholove.
The 3rd Army Corps noted that participating units included the 3rd Assault Brigade, the 60th Separate Mechanized Brigade, the 125th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade, the 3rd Separate Reconnaissance Battalion, the 25th Separate Tank Regiment, and the 21st Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment "KRAKEN."
Attached units provided operational support, including the 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade, the 3rd Border Guard Detachment, the 10th Mobile Border Guard Detachment "Dozor," tactical groups of the 8th Special Operations Forces Regiment, "Lasar's Group" of the National Guard of Ukraine, K-2 of the Unmanned Systems Forces, and unmanned units from the Special Operations Center "A."
"Four seasons of 'Vivaldi' are complete. But the music plays on. Over and out!" the corps summarized.
Background
As reported on September 20, Commander Andrii Biletskyi stated that during the second phase of the counteroffensive, Ukrainian military forces liberated the settlements of Shandryholove and Derylove, while Drobysheve also came under Ukrainian control.
Reports indicated that in the first and second seasons of Operation Vivaldi, the 3rd Army Corps and attached units returned 125 square kilometers of territory to Ukrainian control, including 50 square kilometers de-occupied from enemy forces.
Defenders also utilized ground robotic complexes for demining, supporting assault operations, and handling frontline logistics. Near Shandryholove, combat robots cleared 30 kilometers of routes without incurring a single casualty among sappers.
