Zaporizhzhia declared October 11 a day of mourning for those killed in the Russian attack.

Children should have been growing up, dreaming, and discovering the world. But Russia cruelly cut their lives short. There are no words that can ease the pain of families who have lost their loved ones," said Mykhailo Semikin, acting head of the Regional Military Administration.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also commented on the Russian strike on Zaporizhzhia. According to him, 12 residents were killed.
"Today, Russia responded to the lifting of sanctions on diesel exports by dropping five guided aerial bombs on residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia. As of now, 12 people have been confirmed dead, including three children. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Another 14 people have been injured, two of them seriously. Doctors are fighting for their lives.
Information is being gathered about another 12 people who may have been at the site. All emergency services are there, and search and rescue operations are ongoing," the president said.
