Russian strikes hit residential building and Dnipro bridge in Zaporizhzhia, injuring ten

In Zaporizhzhia, Russian occupiers struck a residential building on the evening of October 5. The attack injured at least two people, while rescuers evacuated three residents from the ninth floor. On the morning of October 6, Russian forces also attacked a bridge across the Dnipro River, raising the injury toll there to five.
Acting head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Mykhailo Semikin reported the strikes on the residential building and the bridge, according to Rubryka.
He stated that Russian forces hit a multi-story apartment building.
According to him, a 63-year-old man suffered severe injuries and was hospitalized.
"Currently, we know about two casualties. A 63-year-old man is in serious condition — rescuers took him to the hospital. A 37-year-old woman suffered thermal burns, though her condition is not severe. First responders treated her at the scene," Semikin reported.
During the rescue operation, emergency workers evacuated three people from the ninth floor. They did not sustain injuries.

Later, Semikin reported that the number of casualties from the building strike rose to five.
"Three more people — a 65-year-old man and two women aged 66 and 37 — received outpatient care. A 35-year-old man is undergoing medical examination," he added.

In the morning, Russian troops launched a strike on a bridge across the Dnipro River in Zaporizhzhia. Due to the attack, authorities temporarily closed traffic on the bridge while specialists assessed the extent of the damage.
Initial reports indicated that two men sustained injuries.
"These are men aged 43 and 54. Both are in mild condition. Rescuers hospitalized them," the acting head of the region reported.
Later, news emerged of three additional casualties, bringing the total number of injured from the morning attack to five.

Authorities later confirmed that the first two victims were Red Cross workers.
"Among the newly reported injured are women aged 24 and 59, and a 36-year-old man. The other two victims — men aged 43 and 54 — are Red Cross employees. They were commuting to work when the Russian attack caught them en route," Semikin specified.
Medical personnel are providing treatment to all the injured.
Background
On the night of October 2, Russian forces struck the Pivdennyi Bridge in Kyiv for the third time. The UAV impact damaged a bridge support, a guardrail, a lane, and a concrete protective metro barrier. On October 2, Russian forces launched a fourth drone attack targeting the Pivdennyi Bridge.
Furthermore, on the morning of October 3, Russian occupiers attacked the Pivnichnyi Bridge with a strike drone, damaging the roadway and trolleybus contact network. On October 4, an enemy strike on the Pivnichnyi Bridge in Kyiv injured two people; paramedics hospitalized one victim and treated the other at the scene.
