Russian double strike hits Kharkiv, damages residential house in Odesa region, and causes power outages in Poltava region

In Kharkiv, a Russian double strike with Banderol drones killed one person and injured six others. In the Izmail district of the Odesa region, the attack damaged a summer house, while in the Poltava region, nearly 22,000 customers lost power.

On the evening of October 4, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with Banderol drones.
Initially, Oleh Syniehubov reported an attack on an apartment building.

"An enemy strike hit an apartment building in the Industrialnyi district. We are clarifying the details. All emergency services are working in enhanced mode," he wrote.
Ihor Terekhov preliminarily reported that Russian forces struck an apartment building in the Industrialnyi district with a Banderol drone.

"Preliminary data shows a Banderol hit an apartment building in the Industrialnyi district," his statement reads.
Later, the mayor reported casualties.
"Information is coming in about two dead and several injured," Terekhov wrote.
At 11:45 p.m., he updated the information regarding the consequences of the strike on the residential building.
"According to updated information from the Situation Center, a double strike by Banderol drones on the Industrialnyi district killed one person and injured six others. Cars and an administrative building caught fire, and about ten apartment buildings were damaged," the mayor reported.
According to a Suspilne correspondent, the victim was the driver of a passenger car who was driving on the road when the Banderol drone hit nearby.

Terekhov also reported that cars and an administrative building caught fire as a result of the attack. About ten apartment buildings suffered damage. Search and rescue operations continued at the scene.
According to Viktor Zabashta, head of the Center for Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine, as cited by Novyny.LIVE, some of the injured are in serious condition. First responders hospitalized three victims.
A police officer is also among the injured.

Odesa region
In the Izmail district of the Odesa region, an air attack damaged a house.
"On the night of October 5, the enemy launched an air attack on the civil infrastructure of the Izmail district. A summer house was damaged in the town of Vylkove," the Izmail District State Administration reported.
Poltava region
In the Poltava region, a Russian drone struck an energy infrastructure facility. The attack left about 22,000 customers without electricity.
"A UAV struck an energy infrastructure facility. As a result of the attack, nearly 22,000 customers lost power temporarily. Poltavaoblenergo JSC specialists are already working to restore power supply," reported the head of the Poltava RMA, Vitalii Diakivnych.
According to him, preliminary reports indicate no casualties.
Background
As Rubryka reported, throughout October 4, Russian forces struck civil infrastructure and settlements across four regions of Ukraine. The attacks caused casualties, including two injured children.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyi stated that over the past week, Russian forces launched more than 1,900 strike drones, 1,700 aerial bombs, and 25 missiles against Ukraine. Over 800 of the drones used were jet-powered.
