Russian forces strike Kharkiv, Chernihiv, and Odesa regions, injuring civilians, including children

Russian troops struck an apartment building in the Saltivskyi district of Kharkiv, injuring 24 people, including eight children. On the evening of September 27, a Russian drone attacked a residential area in the city of Novhorod-Siverskyi in the Chernihiv region, injuring four people, including two children. The Odesa region also came under attack, leaving two people injured.
Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the National Police, and the head of the Novhorod-Siverskyi District Military Administration, Oleksandr Seliverstov, reported the details, according to Rubryka.
Kharkiv region
Russian forces struck an apartment building in the Saltivskyi district of Kharkiv.
"Nine casualties, including five children, are receiving all necessary medical assistance in the Saltivskyi district. The enemy strike hit the second floor of a multi-story residential building," Syniehubov reported.
Later, the head of the regional military administration clarified that the number of injured rose to 14 people, including eight children, all receiving medical care.

At 5:21 a.m., Syniehubov reported 16 casualties, adding that none suffered severe injuries. Later, reports confirmed 22 injured, with the total eventually rising to 24.
Medics hospitalized an eight-year-old boy and a 12-year-old boy. Six other children—a three-year-old girl, a seven-year-old girl, a nine-year-old boy, two 10-year-old boys, and a 15-year-old girl—received medical assistance on the spot.

The Russian strike destroyed the second and third floors of the apartment building.
According to preliminary information, Russian forces also launched a strike against the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv.
Syniehubov noted that medical personnel treated 24 people in the Saltivskyi district, while emergency services continue working at the site of the enemy strike.

Odesa region
The Russian army also struck the Odesa region, preliminarily injuring two people.

The enemy attack damaged an empty warehouse building, igniting a fire that firefighters promptly extinguished.
Additionally, the strike damaged the roofs and windows of private residential homes and passenger cars across the area.
Chernihiv region
On the evening of September 27 at around 7:00 p.m., a Russian drone attacked a residential area in the city of Novhorod-Siverskyi in the Chernihiv region.
The strike injured four people, including two children.

"As a result of a Russian UAV strike on the residential sector of Novhorod-Siverskyi, four people sustained injuries, including two children aged 15 and 17," the State Emergency Service reported.
The attack also injured a 19-year-old man and a 27-year-old man, with first responders hospitalizing all victims.
The Russian drone damaged and destroyed private residential homes in the city center.

The enemy strike also triggered a fire in one of the residential homes, spreading across an area of 50 square meters before firefighters extinguished it.
Background
As previously reported, Russian forces attacked Kyiv and the Kyiv region with strike drones on the evening of September 27 and overnight into September 28. In the capital, authorities recorded strikes and falling UAV debris across several districts, starting fires and damaging buildings. In the Kyiv region, a strike on market grounds in Sofiivska Borshchahivka killed residents and injured several others, while a morning drone hit a gas station in the Obolonskyi district.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyi stated that over the past week alone, Russian forces launched against Ukraine more than 2,200 strike drones, approximately 1,650 aerial bombs, and 38 missiles of various types, a significant portion of which were ballistic.
