Russian forces struck a commercial cargo ship flying the flag of Antigua and Barbuda in the Odesa region, killing the ship's captain, a Ukrainian citizen.
Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, reported the attack, according to Rubryka.
The enemy targeted a commercial cargo vessel flying the flag of Antigua and Barbuda, sparking a fire on board.
"The ship's captain, a citizen of Ukraine, was killed. The remaining crew members were evacuated. The fire has been extinguished," the statement reads.
Russian forces also launched two consecutive strikes on warehouses storing medicines, household goods, and food products. Firefighters spent several hours extinguishing the blaze.
