Background

As previously reported, the Zhytomyr region came under another Russian attack on the evening of September 17, when Russian forces struck an industrial park in the Korosten district.

Previously, Russian drones attacked a grocery store in Zviahel, Zhytomyr region, killing two people. The attack also targeted filling stations and a business with foreign investment.

The Cersanit Invest plant in Zviahel, which manufactures ceramic tiles and sanitary ware, also halted all operations. Russian jet-powered drones caused extensive damage to the facility, and preliminary estimates suggest that restoring production could take at least six months.
