Keith Kellogg, the US President's Special Representative for Ukraine, stated that during the upcoming talks in Saudi Arabia, Ukrainian and Russian delegations will be placed in separate rooms, with American officials facilitating communication between them.

He described the process in an interview with ABC News, as reported by Rubryka.

"One group will be in this room, the others in that room, and they will sit and talk. They will go back and forth—something like shuttle diplomacy. That's how it will work," Kellogg explained.

According to him, the United States will be represented by:

  • His aides,
  • Members of White House National Security Advisor Mike Waltz's team,
  • Officials from the US Department of State.

As a reminder, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky previously announced that a meeting between Ukrainian and American diplomats will take place on March 24.

Zelensky specified that the US will first meet with Ukraine and then with Russia, but these discussions will happen in parallel and cover the same topics.

Earlier, Zelensky identified the Ukrainian delegation participating in the peace talks, which includes:

  • Andrii Yermak, Head of the Presidential Office,
  • Andrii Sybiha, Minister of Foreign Affairs,
  • Rustem Umerov, Minister of Defense,
  • Pavlo Palis, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office.

This same Ukrainian delegation previously met with US representatives in Saudi Arabia on March 11.

The Kremlin has outlined its own conditions for ceasefire negotiations with the United States regarding Ukraine, according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitriy Peskov. He mentioned that talks between the Russian and American delegations in Saudi Arabia could occur early next week.

Peskov stated that the Kremlin will announce the members of the Russian delegation in due time, but he did not disclose any names at present. He also confirmed that the issue of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine will be discussed during the negotiations.

Additionally, Steve Witkoff, the US President Donald Trump's special representative for the Middle East, said that US-Russia talks are scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 23.
